Help with Stress, Anxiety, and Depression

For immediate help and support, call 111 and ask for Crisis Support or contact The Samaritans on 116 123.

How can you identify that you are going through stress?

  • Are you feeling overloaded?
  • Does each day feel like a struggle?
  • Do you often feel you just want to shut the world out?

Are you suffering from Anxiety?

Anxiety is an unpleasant feeling of fear and apprehension. Normally anxiety can be useful, helping us avoid dangerous situations, making us alert, and giving us the motivation to deal with problems. However, if the feelings become too strong or go on for too long, they can stop us from doing the things we want to, making our lives miserable.

Are you suffering from Depression?

Depression is a mood disorder that is sometimes described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger that interfere with a person’s everyday activities.
The label is unimportant, but finding a way to manage symptoms is. I find using an integrated approach works best in these cases and enables us to work together to find what works best for each individual. Solution-focused work has been shown to be very beneficial, but some people need to have an understanding of where these feelings have come from to be able to move forward, so a different approach may suit them. Sometimes looking at how the brain functions can help us link physical and emotional feelings and create the first step on our recovery journey. This is why I like to use different approaches for different clients and feel that making the work client-led is the best way forward.

One-off Individual Sessions (50 minutes) – £70

These sessions are aimed at people not looking for long-term therapy work. You may already have an understanding of where you are, but need some help looking at coping strategies or gaining a deeper understanding of your symptoms. They are delivered via Zoom, making them easier to fit into your schedule, and are tailored to your individual situation. The price includes a pre-session questionnaire and 2 follow-up emails for further support.

Ongoing Individual Sessions (45 minutes) – £60

(These can be booked in blocks of 3 or 6)
These are usually booked on the same day/time on a weekly basis and suit individuals who have the space for weekly counseling sessions and are happy to take things a bit slower.

Telephone Counseling Appointments (30 minutes) – £30

These sessions can be of use for day-to-day problems or situations you’d like to talk through. These are more of a short-term solution-focused chat and not a replacement for counseling.
Sometimes just having a safe space to talk can really help. Simply book, and I will phone you at your appointment time.
